And another station picked it up here,
And, this story appeared in the Pulse Journal...
Four Corners Church lead pastor Ben Hodges said a congregation member called him as the church began spreading the word about Sunday's Porn Sunday service. Hodges said the person thanked him for addressing an issue that had contributed to their divorce.
"When you hear something like that," he said, "you realize it's a very big deal. It can be a devastating factor."
The church is one of four in the state, and the only one in the Cincinnati area, to take part in National Porn Sunday this weekend, a nationwide event intended to address a topic normally taboo in the sanctuary.
"I think we've always talked boldly about subjects," said Four Corners life groups and creative pastor Ryan Hartsock. "This is not the first time we've talked about sex."
Hodges and Hartsock said the service will discuss ways pornography affects perceptions of intimacy.
"I think we want to help people understand the problem," said Hodges, who added that Sunday will not include a sermon condemning all sexual activity.
"Most of what people have heard in church is , 'No, no, no,'" he said. "We're saying, 'Yes, with boundaries.'
The other part, is helping people who say, 'What do I do now?'"
The church will have resources ranging from books and software to counseling and support groups for people struggling with pornography or its effects on their families.
Hodges said the goal is not to stop pornography in one day, but rather to help people make sense of the issues surrounding it.
"You can't legislate morality," he said. "We want to help people work it out."
Four Corners Church is located at 7770 West Chester Road. Sunday services are at 10 a.m.
